Equipment To Bring

  • Camera - Required - Any camera will do!

  • Wide Angle Lens - Required - Bring the widest lens you have to get as many stars in one shot as you can. Longer lenses are capable but require more advanced techniques than wide angle lenses.

  • Tripod - Highly recommend! - A tripod is a must when shooting night skies & highly recommended when shooting sunrises, sunsets, rivers & waterfalls. You will be using longer exposures and you will not be able to handhold the camera. It is also a great tool to improve your compositions.

  • Intervalometer/Shutter Release - Recommended - A shutter release allows you to take a photo without touching the camera. This helps ensure a sharp photo and is very important for long exposures in the morning and evening hours. Intervalometers are used to capture timelapse video by triggering the camera for a certain amount of exposures over a set amount of time.

  • Extra Batteries - Required - It is always a good idea to have a few extra batteries on hand. This area is always beautiful and ever changing and you can go through batteries pretty fast, especially during colder mornings.

  • Filters - Recommended - Filters are good to have as they help control the light. We almost exclusively use neutral density filters & polarizers and can assist and answer any questions you may have on them.
