DSLR Camera - Required - You'll need the full power and creative control of a Digital SLR Camera to get the most out of your experience on this workshop!
Wide Angle Lens - Required - Bring the widest lens you have to get as many stars in one shot as you can. Longer lenses are capable but require more advanced techniques than wide angle lenses.
Tripod - Highly recommended! - A tripod is a must when shooting night skies & highly recommended when shooting sunrises, sunsets, rivers & waterfalls. You will be using longer exposures and you will not be able to handhold the camera. It is also a great tool to improve your compositions.
Intervalometer/Shutter Release - Recommended - A shutter release allows you to take a photo without touching the camera. This helps ensure a sharp photo and is very important for long exposures in the morning and evening hours. Intervalometers are used to capture timelapse video by triggering the camera for a certain amount of exposures over a set amount of time.
Extra Batteries - Required - It is always a good idea to have a few extra batteries on hand. This area is always beautiful and ever changing and you can go through batteries pretty fast, especially during colder mornings.
Filters - Recommended - Filters are good to have as they help control the light. We almost exclusively use neutral density filters & polarizers and can assist and answer any questions you may have on them.
