Athlete Portraits

Book a private portrait session throughout summer or winter; we will spend approximately an hour capturing 25+ images for you to choose from. Buy only what you like, and choose from a variety of enlargements, print products and digital options.

Our expert sports photographers come outfitted with top quality camera gear and the training to make you look your best on camera.  Any ability, any time.

We'll meet you on the mountain or in the valley, in any season and capture you at your best.  We'll shoot up to 1 hour with you and your group, and have your photos ready in an online gallery.

Groups over the size of 5 may require a second hour booked to guarantee ample action photo opportunities for all.  Book in advance especially during peak seasons in summer and winter.

To get the best headshot/portrait results, follow these steps:

  • Get a good night sleep before the photo shoot; aim for eight hours or more. You look your best when you’re well-rested.
  • Drink plenty of water. It helps your skin to look healthy.
  • You wear glasses but don't want to wear them in the photo? Remove them 30 minutes before your session to ensure any marks on your nose go away and your eyes adjust.
  • Plan to arrive early. Running late tends to result in a frazzled look.
  • Select your wardrobe and try your garments in advance so you can be sure that everything is in good condition, unmarked, works well together, and fits properly.
  • For men going for a formal headshot, a dark jacket, light shirt and contrasting tie usually works best. Avoid collars that are tight around the neck. Take some shots with no tie for a business casual look. Remove wallet and cell phone from pockets.
  • For women, a jacket usually looks best. Avoid bright orange, red, floral patterns or loud clashing colours. Wear whatever image you would like to project - casual is fine. If you wear makeup, do a touch-up to remove any natural oils. Be wary of  blouses with low necklines. A blouse that is acceptable for work may not look right in a business headshot.
  • Avoid jackets with detailed zigzag patterns, such as hound’s-tooth. These patterns tend to look wonky online.
  • If you are due for a haircut or styling, get it done soon to ensure a natural look.
  • Wash your face with soap and water to remove any natural oils and to freshen up. Do not rub your face vigorously with paper towel as this will make your skin look red.
  • If you feel confident in your appearance, your confidence will shine through in your photo. Feeling confident is one of the most important elements of your headshot.
